| Selah- a pause, peace, weighed (valued), worship, forever, a connection between (verses), a time of reflection, a rest, inhale-exhale, to listen. All of these words have been used to define Selah. This is that time in my life. I am taking time to do all of these. Enjoying where I am at, preparing for what is ahead. 80% of all decisions are unconscious. This is due to pre-conditioning of our minds. Only 20% are conscience and thought through. Scary! I want to make sure that my mind is properly preconditioned to make those 80% of decisions. I’m endeavoring to just that by feeding on the word of God. I’m starting Bible school on Monday. Yes, I have already done that in a smaller version over 10 years ago. But you can not live on yesterday manna. This time I can get ordained within the next 2 years. I believe that will open many more ministry opportunities. Another way to help precondition your brain is meditation. I know that’s a funny concept to a western mind but it is good. No, you do not need to sit in the lotus position and breathe deeply. J I have found that I can only meditate on what I have put in or studied. It usually happens in my car while driving. (with my eyes open) My mind wonders, on all that I have been reading, hearing, studying, etc. Then God reveals! He ties things together and adds understanding. | | |

| I ‘m back from TM’s Director’s Summit. Believe it or not I even know my placement for the summer. I’m going back to Thailand! Trip B (Jul 10-Aug 4, 2007) I’m just waiting on the Lord to unfold the plans he has for the first part of the summer. God has definitely blessed me to be placed on this trip. The harvest is Yellow unto harvest in Thailand. (Thai Bible – yellow refers to the ripe rice harvest) I'm excited to return. I'm looking forward to this project. Our Global Partner, Anne, has become a good friend. My co-leader is… Mystery Man. I’m praying for the amazing man of God he will be. Summit is the one time a year I get to hang out with people who share my heart for the world. It’s a stupendous a group of people whom I love and respect. Congrats to everyone who is newly married, engaged and courting? (you guys have been busy!!!) Need more info? Check out globalexpeditions.com Walking in Favor, Korina | | |
| Thailand is truly the land of smiles as our greeting at the Chaing Mai airport with fresh leis of jasmine proved.
On Sunday we went to Doi Sutep, a royal Buddhist temple in Chiang Mai. We hiked up the 306 steps where we began to do prayer walking. We prayed that the eyes of their understanding be opened, that Buddhist strongholds be broken and for the ministry we were about to begin. The view from the mountain top was incredible and we were able to see the city spread before us. Truly a city on a hill.
Ministry is going great. The discipleship teams have been working at two different universities. Chiang Mai University is where students who become doctors, lawyers, and businessmen study. 90% of the churches leaders have come from here. The MaeJo University is like a community college full of students from “unreached” people groups. Both teams do relationship evangelism. They may eat lunch, hang out between classes, develop a friendship, or just provide the opportunity for the Thai students to practice their English. Then in the course of the talking they bring the conversation around to Jesus, and invite the students to a “party” at then end of the week where the gospel will be presented. The result has been so effective that we have had to cancel our evening ministry time! There are not enough people from Hope of Chiang Mai Church to follow up on all of the contacts that have been made.
We are happy to report that everyone is healthy and doing great.
